A New Start?

Felicia was amazed at how long ago the last blog was, I guess Facebook has taken over. So much easier and quicker I guess. Almost a full year here now in Texas and we have yet to see below 80...well it did get down to 79 once or twice!! Seriously, we had a brief snowfall at 10:30pm one night in November, but us in Children's Ministry don't know that time comes twice in one day.

Felicia is off to Disney this weekend to run the Disney Half-Marathon and Philip and the kids will be cheering her on from Austin. They have a great e-mail/text alert when she passes the 5k, 10k and the finish line. She starts at 6am EST, so we will be up at 5am to watch for her splits - go Felicia!!

The second half of school has begun and Corban is beginning to read while Lydia continues to be his teacher every afternoon. Kindergarten and 2nd grade seem to be so much fun. Lydia has really begun to play actual songs on the piano now and is doing a fabulous job practicing every day. Corban will start swim lessons again next week and we are hoping we have the next much shorter version of Michael Phelps.

Philip is enjoying church, getting ready for VBS and Summer Camp. It has been hard even saying VBS again after so many years of "Free Kids Camp," yet those three letter still seem to work here in Austin as the church is looking forward to having two sessions this year in the same week with over 1500 kids.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary on January 1st so at least we are keeping one thing going strong! Have a great new year everyone and keep pestering us to keep this updated...
